The First Annual Melissa Dawn Sink Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser was held on August 20, 2006 at the Franklin County Recreation Park. There was a lot going on that day! We had DJ and Karaoke donated by Russell Zimmerman, the Safety BElt Convincer was provided by the Franklin County Sheriff's Department. There was a hair "cut-a-thon" proveded by licensed stylist from JC Penney Salon at Tanglewood Mall. We had coloring contests and games for the kids. Raffles and of course food. The weather was hot and we had a down pour of rain during the event. After the rain storm we looked across the parking lot and saw a rainbow that appeared to be sitting on the ground. We think this was a sign that Melissa was there with us!
